Within OI’s Product Organization, the Product Strategy and Innovation team is responsible for overseeing OI’s portfolio of software and services products, coordinating investments and innovation across market teams. We help our product teams bring new ideas to market faster via prioritized investment, supported market activation, external and internal partnerships, and acquisitions.
OI Product Portfolio Strategy is a new team that will oversee the health and performance of OI’s full portfolio of services and software products. The team will ensure alignment between the product portfolio and OI’s strategic objectives, prioritize product initiatives, monitor product performance, and recommend adjustments to the portfolio, including innovation, acquisition, and sunset decisions.
The Associate Director will support the Product Portfolio Strategy team by providing critical analysis and insights to optimize the product portfolio. This role involves monitoring product performance, assisting in investment strategy, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to compile and analyze data, support decision-making processes, and contribute to the overall success of the portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities:
Monitor Product Performance:
- Collect and analyze data on financial performance, client performance, market potential, strategic value, investment performance, and risk for each product
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance metrics
- Assist in defining product lifecycle stages and making recommendations for product staging decisions
Support Investment Strategy:
- Assist in developing investment grading criteria and prioritizing investment requests
- Support the capital request process by compiling data and preparing recommendations
- Monitor and report on capital investment performance, including allocation, utilization, program delivery, and ROI
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Aggregate product metrics into portfolio analytics to monitor portfolio health
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders
- Identify trends and insights to inform strategic decisions and guide future investments
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with finance, operations, and other product leaders to gather and analyze data
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and effectively to various stakeholders
- Contribute to team meetings and strategy sessions with data-driven insights

Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in data analysis or financial analysis, within the healthcare or technology sectors
- 6+ years of experience with analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau)
- 6 + years of experience collecting and analyze data on financial performance, client performance, market potential, strategic value, investment performance, and risk for each product
- Experience with developing investment grading criteria and prioritizing investment requests
- Experience monitoring and reporting on capital investment performance, including allocation, utilization, program delivery, and ROI
- Experience aggregating product metrics into portfolio analytics to monitor portfolio health, presenting reports/presentations for senior management and stakeholders
- Experience identifying trends and insights to inform strategic decisions and guide future investments
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
