This position is full time Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
We offer 4 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be aligned with your schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform queries on relevant systems to gather data needed to analyze billing discrepancies and issues
- Analyzes and applies third party denials to accounts both manually and electronically
- Interact with customers to gather support data to ensure invoice accuracy and work through specific billing discrepancies
- Monitor outstanding balances and take appropriate actions to ensure clients pay as billed
- Manage the preparation of invoices and complete reconciliation of billing with accounts receivables
- Work with processing claims and resolving issues with denied claims.
- Reviewing correspondence from insurance company and posting rejected reason on the bills.

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent years of working experience
- Must be 18 years or older.
- 1+ years of experience in medical billing and/or medical accounts receivable, including reconciliation experience.
- Experience analyzing large amount of data in Microsoft Excel.
- Intermediate experience working with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, & working with formulas)
- Experience performing queries on relevant systems to gather data needed to analyze billing discrepancies and issues
- Proficiency with Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate multiple programs and learn new and complex computer system applications
- Ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year of customer service experience
- Experience working with QBS (Quest Billing System
Telecommuting Requirements:
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.
Soft Skills:
- Ability to multi-task and to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product

The hourly range for this role is $19.86 to $38.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
