We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst/Scientist with exceptional database management skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis and modeling, with a focus on extracting insights from large datasets. They will also possess advanced knowledge of database management systems and be proficient in SQL. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis and Modeling:
  • Apply advanced statistical and mathematical techniques to analyze complex datasets
  • Develop and implement predictive models to identify patterns and trends
  • Generate actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis
• Database Management:
  • Design and implement efficient and scalable database architectures
  • Optimize database performance to ensure fast and reliable data retrieval
  • Develop and maintain data models, data dictionaries, and other documentation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues
• Data Extraction and Transformation:
  • Extract, clean, and transform data from various sources for analysis
  • Ensure data integrity and quality through rigorous validation and testing
• Data Visualization and Reporting:
  • Create visually appealing and informative dashboards and reports
  • Present findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
• Continuous Learning and Improvement:
  • Stay up to date with the latest data analysis techniques and tools
  • Identify opportunities to improve data analysis processes and methodologies
  • Actively participate in knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in SQL and experience with relational database management systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
• Experience with statistical analysis, and predictive modeling techniques
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coding skills, e.g., Python, R
• Proven excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Proven solid communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex data analysis findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Proven detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity

The salary range for this role is $59,500 to $116,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
