Software engineering is the application of engineering to the design, development, implementation, testing and maintenance of software in a systematic method. The roles in this function will cover all primary development activity across all technology functions that ensure we deliver code with high quality for our applications, products and services and to understand customer needs and to develop product roadmaps.
These roles include, but are not limited to analysis, design, coding, engineering, testing, debugging, standards, methods, tools analysis, documentation, research and development, maintenance, new development, operations and delivery. With every role in the company, each position has a requirement for building quality into every output. This also includes evaluating new tools, new techniques, strategies; Automation of common tasks; build of common utilities to drive organizational efficiency with a passion around technology and solutions and influence of thought and leadership on future capabilities and opportunities to apply technology in new and innovative ways. Basic, structured, standard approach to work.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop software solutions in accordance with assigned projects and sprint goal
- Works closely with the Technical Manager / Technical Lead and Project Manager/Scrum Master towards backlog and user story refinement
- Deep and mature understanding of complete software development life cycle and shall possess demonstrable ability to work independently
- Complete programming and system analysis tasks as assigned by Technical Manager/Lead/Scrum Master Design and Estimate – Based on requirement definitions, recommend solutions with pros and cons
- Create design documents with estimates of time to complete
- Work with Technical Manager/Lead/BA to review requirements and design documents to ensure that project deliverables are met
- Project Delivery – Identify and communicate issues or risks with project deliverables
- Recommend possible technical solutions for issues and/or problems encountered when work on a project
- Application Support – On an as needed basis, provide user support for business applications
- Effectively communicate with users to answer questions and resolve urgent requests
- Advise the Technical Manager / Lead on information technology matters Work with lesser experienced staff to help them improve their development skills and craft
- Bring “continuous improvement” mindset to the team and encourage learning and professional growth
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely completion and delivery of the project Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in system design and building secure distributed applications
- Solid experience in ASP.NET MVC 4 and above, C#, ADO.NET, NetCore, Web API, Entity Framework and SQL Server
- Solid experience in client-side technology JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX
- Extensive experience in web services, API security best practices, React.js, Node.js
- Solid Deployment experience using IIS, DevOps Experience creating stored procedure, database views, triggers, indexes
- Proven analysis, design, and programming experience
- Solid technical knowledge in Microsoft .NET and related technologies
- Proven ability to understand database structures and be able to manipulate, extract, and update data
- Clear and demonstrable understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and distributed system architecture
- Understand the concepts and best practices of DevOps and modern CI/CD
