Position in this function assists in providing and coordinating nursing care and managing resources in the delivery of care for patients, the family of patients and the community, with the goal of attaining, maintaining and restoring optimum health. Communicates with Registered Nurse and care team to assist with clinical planning and care of patients. 

Schedule & Location: Monday – Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at 4275 Steels Pointe Rd. Stow, OH 44224

Thursdays: 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at 4016 Massillon Rd. Suite C, Uniontown, OH 44685

Fridays: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at at 4275 Steels Pointe Rd. Stow, OH 44224

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assists the RN in developing, implementing and evaluating nursing care by applying basic knowledge of the biological, physical, psycho-social and nursing sciences
  • Communicates clearly with patients, families, nursing staff and interdisciplinary team to achieve healthcare goals. Provides constructive feedback and participates in peer review processes
  • Provides and documents procedures, medications, treatments, and intravenous therapy in accordance with licensure, training and policy
  • Supports other direct caregivers by assisting with multifunctional activities
  • Maintain safety initiatives according to the patient care areas

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a school of practical nursing and current license to practice practical nursing in the State of Ohio
  • Current Basic Life Support certification
  • Authorized by the State of Ohio Board of Nursing to administer medication
  • 2+ years of related clinical experience

    • The incumbent will have proven ability to effectively interact with populations of the patient (and his or her representative) with a sensitivity to the communication needs (other language, deaf or blind) and with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of body motion which may include handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range
  • May require exposure to communicable disease, body fluids, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and other potentially hazardous conditions common to a clinical environment, such as risk of falls, strains, etc.

The hourly range for this role is $19.86 to $38.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
