Deputy Manager – Medical Coding

• Lead a team of 80-100 certified coders
• Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment; develop personal growth opportunities
• Performance Management – Timeliness, Quality, and Productivity metrics
• Plan, monitor, and appraise job results; coach, counsel, and discipline employees; develop, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards
• Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyze and resolve quality and customer service problems; identify trends; recommend system improvements
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; review professional publications; establish personal networks; benchmark state-of-the-art practices; participate in professional societies
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of any discipline
• 1+ years of experience in managing HCC coding Operations
• Skills: Performance Management, Project Management, Coaching, Supervision, Quality Management
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Products (Excel and Access)
• Ability to operate basic office equipment (copier and facsimile machine)
• Ability to develop budgets and standards
• Ability to foster teamwork
• Ability to handle pressure
• Ability to give feedback
• Results driven

Preferred Qualification:

• Coding Certification from AAPC or AHIMA
