Primary Responsibilities:

• Analyze and report on membership results for Medicare and Retirement business unit
• Develop and maintain financial reports to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast and budget
• Assist in the development of forecasts, budgets, and ad hoc reporting
• Work closely with the business to develop, recommend and establish strategies, plans, and processes to improve profitability and cost efficiencies
• Research economic progressions to assist with the organization’s financial planning strategy
• Create annual budget templates
• Prepare spreadsheets to effectively show financial results and financial forecasts

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in finance, accounting or related field
• Intermediate, Advanced or Expert in Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

• Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, formulas, etc.)
• Proven highly self-motivated and career-oriented professional
• Proven ability to work well in a team environment while maintaining a high degree of personal accountability
• Proven excellent attention to detail and accuracy with exceptional organizational skills
• Proven excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proven well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex situations under adverse conditions within short deadlines while adapting to changing priorities

The salary range for this role is $49,300 to $96,400 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
