We are seeking an experienced and strategic IT Operations Director to oversee and provide direction for the design, engineering, and management of our organization’s infrastructure and operational platforms. This role involves leading the transition of traditional enterprise infrastructure to modern cloud services, ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our IT environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee and provide strategic direction for the design, engineering, and management of infrastructure and operational platforms
- Lead the transition of traditional enterprise infrastructure and operational platforms, such as email, file transfer, and collaboration technologies, to Enterprise support teams during integrations
- Ensure that functional and non-functional requirements are met through system design and engineering to meet customer needs
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to develop roadmaps for technology portfolios, resolve cross-system and domain dependencies, and ensure effective integration of services
- Monitor technological advancements and industry trends to influence company standards and ensure continuous improvement of solutions
- Recommend investments in new solutions or the retirement of redundant or outdated systems
- Understand the interactions between systems, applications, and services, and evaluate the impact of changes and additions
- Ensure the Ops team performs analysis on existing systems to solidify performance and reliability, enhance scalability, meet security requirements, and maintain an interoperable and maintainable technology portfolio
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in transitioning traditional enterprise infrastructure to modern cloud services
- Proven experience in leading IT operations and managing infrastructure and operational platforms
- Solid knowledge of cloud services models, including IaaS and PaaS, and their underlying foundational components
- Excellent understanding of functional and non-functional requirements and their implementation through system design and engineering
- Solid collaboration skills to work effectively with business and technology stakeholders
- Ability to monitor technological advancements and industry trends to influence company standards
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, ensuring continuous improvement and high performance
- Proven excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Solid communication and leadership abilities
