This is an exciting role within the rapidly growing Optum Home & Community division within UnitedHealth Group. This role will support Long-Term Services and Support (LTSS) – Medicaid programs for the long-term care population, including nursing home costs and other long-term care programs.

This is an exciting opportunity that allows the Business Analyst consultant to: work with stake holders, dig into their operational processes, understand the surrounding analytical needs and develop the analytics to support the team both strategically and operationally.  The incumbent will be multifaceted with a strong analytical business process and technical background.  This role will have a solid hands-on component.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Development of essential compliance, legal and regulatory reporting assets
  • Management of individualized market LTSS reporting portfolios
  • Root cause analysis of program operations and performance outcomes

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience consulting with business stakeholders and senior leaders determining their reporting or analytics needs and goals
  • 5+ years of experience working with business stakeholders and hands on experience creating reporting and analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills including but not limited to VBA, Functions, and Pivots
  • Proven familiarity with Medicaid regulations and compliance standards
  • Proven excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience SQL, SAS, PYTHON, R programming and/ or data manipulation
  • Proven knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization software
  • Proven excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven solid communication and collaboration skills, with ability to share findings with cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
