This position is full-time. Employees are required to work during our normal business hours of 7:00am – 4:00pm Hawaii Time. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

If you are located within the state of Hawaii, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identify specific member and provider demographic information
  • Initiating and following up on requests for medical records and responses on behalf of clinicians
  • Preparing quality of care cases for hand off to clinical reviewers (Nurses, MDs)
  • Managing and maintaining quality and productivity metrics

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 2+ years of professional experience in an office / customer service setting using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform job duties
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry with medical terminology
  • Experience with Microsoft Word (creating, editing, and saving documents)
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management)
  • Ability to work during our normal business hours of 7:00am – 4:00pm Hawaii Time, including the flexibility to work occasional overtime, based on the business need

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Healthcare insurance
  • Experience working in a physician office, medical setting OR hospital
  • Clerical OR administrative support background

 

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Reside within the state of Hawaii
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

The hourly range for this role is $16.88 to $33.22 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
