The Engineering Leader will be responsible for overseeing multiple engineering teams and projects, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and experience in people management, project management, and production support. The Engineering Leader will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, improve processes, and achieve business goals.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to engineering teams, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting professional development
  • Project Management: Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and risk management to ensure successful project delivery
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize technical knowledge to guide teams in mobile, web, and backend development, ensuring best practices and high-quality code
  • People Management: Manage and mentor team members, conducting performance reviews, and supporting career growth
  • Production Support: Ensure the stability and reliability of production systems, addressing issues promptly and implementing preventive measures
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and product quality
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Innovation: Drive innovation within the teams, encouraging the adoption of new technologies and methodologies
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

 

This role is crucial for driving the success of multiple projects and ensuring the engineering teams are aligned with the company’s strategic goals

Required Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience: Multiple years of experience leading engineering teams, with a proven track record of managing complex projects and delivering high-quality software solutions
  • Technical Skills:
    • DevOps: Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud infrastructure
    • Node.js: Solid experience with Node.js for backend development, including building and consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs
    • React Native: Extensive experience with React Native for mobile app development, including bridge methods and build processes
    • GraphQL: Deep understanding of GraphQL, including schema design and query optimization
    • React: Proficiency in React for web development, including hooks, context, and Redux
    • Solution Architecture: Expertise in designing scalable and maintainable software architectures
  • Leadership Skills: Strong people management skills, including mentoring and developing team members, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a collaborative environment
  • Project Management: Proficiency in project management methodologies, including Agile and Scrum, with experience in resource allocation, risk management, and timeline management
  • Production Support: Ability to ensure the stability and reliability of production systems, addressing issues promptly and implementing preventive measures

 

These qualifications will help ensure the engineering leader can effectively oversee multiple teams and projects, driving innovation and achieving business goals.
