JOB TITLE: Senior Technical Product Manager
 
LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)
 
DUTIES: Designs, develops, and manages activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life. Responsible for the full product lifecycle management, with a technical focus, including strategy, design, development, management, and end of life of new, existing or acquisition products. Leverage market insights to understand market/customer needs as well as emerging technology developments and trends to identify new opportunities or adjust current product offerings. Balances deep subject matter expertise in the product, business use cases and strong technical aptitude. Accountable for delivering product performance against expectations and updates changes to a product portfolio to improve competitive position, and optimal product performance to meet customer and market needs. Accountable to and/or own the P&L. Responsible for cross-functional stakeholder management to include but not limited to design, engineering, scrum teams, and business leaders functioning as technical expert with a fluency in development concepts and modern development practices. Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.
 

REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related field and five (5) years of progressive post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related computer occupation. Position requires five (5) years of progressive post baccalaureate experience in the following:
 
Writing and presenting business cases in partnership with stakeholder teams;
Creating road maps for initiatives, identifying dependencies, aligning timelines, performing cost-benefit analysis, estimating dollar value for each initiative;
Developing product, driving exercises and planning resources for features to be delivered on time;
Configuring applications to utilize business rules/logic;
Evaluating business / technical requirements and preparing the detailed functional and technical specifications that follow product guidelines;
Conduct research of technical processes and systems
Configuring SFTP setups for external exchanges of data;
Extracting reports using complex SQL queries;
Designing data model and structures that support new initiatives accounting long term usage;
Analyzing data reports to ensure accuracy of data through data sampling, identify gaps and suggest corrections in SQL conditions to close gaps;
Analyzing data exchange methods and data structures like JSON, XML, EDI 270, EDI 274, EDI 278 formats;
Testing SOAP based, REST based API, Graph QL API using postman and SOAP UI, ensuring all data elements required are present in the response, create mapping between response and database tables/columns;
Creating efficiencies around routine processes and reduce future implementation costs;
Reviewing security scans to ensure that all vulnerabilities are resolved;
Create and deliver presentations to other team members or larger organization communications;
Working with UX teams on development of wireframes; 
Defining features and user stories showcasing business needs, technical requirements and strong acceptance criteria in Gherkin format covering wide range of scenarios that ensure quality of the product;
Documenting impact analysis, process flows and technical details; and
Developing business logic and critical metrics for incorporation into decision support models and tools.
RATE OF PAY:  $118,477 – $168,408 / per year
