Positions in this function deliver high quality outcomes by providing the best file experience and end-to-end monitoring of business processes for our Optum Financial customers.  This function works to create systems that work together in a cohesive manner, enforcing standards and consistent methods across Optum Financial.  

They consult with clients, internal users, and technology specialists to define business processes and the information systems for supporting files and issuances. Individuals in this role will perform file and issuance research and analyses and serve as business liaisons to understand and refine business requirements.

Positions in this function conduct and manage the outcomes of test and production files, as well as day-to-day operations need to support clients. Tasks include researching, analyzing, reviewing, and communicating information for operational and business planning.

They support short and long term operational/strategic business activities by developing, enhancing and maintaining operational information and models. They also develop and implement effective/strategic business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes.

Roles may support both current system improvements and maintenance along with new system development.

This is a complex, fast-paced, matrixed environment with a lot of moving parts. The challenge is in developing, enhancing, and maintaining operational information and models. You will be expected to interpret and analyze large data sets from multiple sources, using this information to construct a meaningful story and recommend solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Complete recurring transactional and monitoring tasks to support Operational needs and validate that business and system processes are functioning as intended
• Conduct research into issues to identify root causes and support Clients and Operational teams with impact analysis and remediation
• Generate sets of data based on various parameters to support reporting, monitoring, and remediation activities
• Identify root causes of production file processing failures and partner with clients and vendors to correct
• Test data feed file formatting and transactional scenarios and work with partners to correct issues prior to implementing into production environment
• Implementation of files through file formatting and transactional scenarios from testing

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as business, technical, or data file analyst
• 2+ years of querying SQL, Oracle, or other databases
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Solid technical skills and attention to detail
• Proven ability to improvise solutions in unique situations based on organizational goals and understanding of impact of business processes

  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in consolidating and analyzing results in Excel to distribute to various stakeholders
• Experience supporting activities using project management methodology (gather requirements, design, develop, test, and implement)
• Experience in Directed Spend business and/or using Solutran and PSP platforms

The hourly range for this role is $28.61 to $56.06 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
