Lead Full Stack Engineer – AEM Developer

As a Senior AEM Developer you will be responsible for leading a team of developers, translating the requirements into technical designs which includes enterprise-level architecture and implementing strategies developing and using components of the Adobe AEM platform. You will work closely with our business partners, developers, quality engineers, system administrators, project managers, business analysts and end users to build a state-of-the-art Digital Marketplace.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Build AEM based website and application using Adobe Experience Manager or AEMaaC
• Contributing to back-end development processes including AEM component and backend Java Code
• Design and develop AEM components and page templates, combining backend Java, HTL or Slightly, Sling, CRX, OSGI, JCR, HTML or CSS, and frontend JavaScript frameworks technologies
• Integrate AEM with backend services using REST APIs
• Integrate AEM with Adobe Suite or other products and vendors specifically targeting Social Integrations
• Develop and working on Dispatcher, CDN setup
• Develop & Implement Search Engine (like SOLR, Coveo) with Adobe Cloud SDK
• Develop and oversee OSGI bundles, AEM templates, Web and HTL or Sightly components, Micro services, workflows, localization features, AEM Mobile and Forms applications and the AEM DAM
• Work with Architects to ensure that scalable AEM solutions are created, alongside equally talented CMS engineers
• Apply deep understanding of AEM and other Adobe solutions like Data Collection, Analytics and Target to make appropriate technical decisions
• Participate in project planning sessions with team members to analyze development requirements, provide work breakdown and estimates of work
• Conduct code reviews for ongoing projects to ensure optimal code quality and appropriate design patterns are used
• Own and support feature-focused unit and system testing, including features built by other developers on the team, to ensure each project delivers a high-quality application
• Performs unit testing, implementation, and production application support
• Participates in troubleshooting problems related to webpage performance & mobile web optimization

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of backend AEM programming experience
• 4+ years of experience leading an engineering development team
• Experience working with a globally distributed team
• Solid experience with OSGi back-end technology stack of Adobe Experience Manager 6.5 and/or AEMaaC to develop and manage AEM bundles and their configurations
• Solid experience with AEM building blocks including templates, components, dialogs, widgets and bundles
• Experience with implementation of Personalization using Adobe Analytics, Target, Context hub etc.
• Experience with development and in-depth knowledge of Experience fragments, Content fragments, SPA
• Solid experience with AEM building blocks including templates, components, dialogs, custom widgets, workflow development, configurations, and bundles
• Experience in service-oriented architecture, enterprise integration patterns and API gateways
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks or libraries (jQuery, Grunt, Bootstrap etc.) and CSS pre-processing platforms (SASS).
• Experience with HTML 5, CSS 3, and JavaScript
• Experience with unit testing and automated testing tools.
• Experience with secure coding practices
• Good experience in AEM Query builder and Indexing
• Experience to write reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Experience to design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications.
• Working knowledge of Java concepts and patterns including Java or J2EE, Sling, JMS, JUnit, AOP, MVC
• Working knowledge of Java concepts and patterns including Java or J2EE, Junit
• Proven comfortable with data exchange protocols like JSON and XML
• Proven excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or related field
• Adobe AEM certifications 
• Solid JEE and front-end technology experience in React, Angular, SASS, CSS
• Mobile hybrid application development experience
• Experienced in Agile methods, processes, and tools
• Experience with building eCommerce applications
• Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud, and Analytics
• Knowledge and experience in developing software using agile methodologies
• Knowledge on tools: Rally, JIRA, Confluence, wireframing tools (i.e. Balsamiq), Postman
• Proven basic concept in React, Sightly or HTL
• Proven skilled in building relationships with clients and in practice development activities
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with resources in multiple locations
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement scalable, secure, and highly performant applications
• Demonstrated ability to build solid working relationships across a large, cross-functional team
