The Revenue Cycle Improvement Consultant serves as an internal consultant to identify, plan, lead, and implement revenue cycle improvement opportunities for Allina Health. The Consultant works closely with Revenue Cycle Management, Finance, Information Technology, Clinical Operations, and other leaders to advance operational efficiency and revenue cycle improvement.

Primary Responsibilities:
- People, Process, and Technology Improvement:
- Evaluates complex data to identify and develop recommendations for governance committee review and prioritization aimed at increasing revenues, decreasing costs, accelerating cash flow, and
- improving operational workflow efficiencies
- Consults with the leadership to present findings to various governance committees
- Identifies, plans, leads, and implements revenue cycle improvement opportunities
- Key Performance Indicators (KPI) Review:
- Reviews and interprets KPIs and blend industry insights and thought leadership to guide discussions on revenue cycle opportunities
- Consults with customers and junior revenue cycle business partner (RCBP) team members to research root cause and identify appropriate next steps
- Escalation, Mentorship, and Program Management:
- Partners with junior RCBP team members to understand people, process, and technology barriers and build appropriate mitigation strategy
- Serves as a mentor and coach to other RCBP team members to develop their skills and abilities
- Assists in the coordination and distribution of work assignments and priorities
- Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with Health Care Revenue Cycle operations
- 2+ years of proven experience with EPIC
- Proven experience using Excel at an intermediate level or higher (i.e., VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables, charts, graphs, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification/proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Certified Project Management Professional – Project Management Institute (PMI) – (Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associated in Project Management (CAPM) acceptable)
- LEAN or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, etc.)
- Consulting experience

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
