Join our dynamic team as a Lead Software Engineer, where you will lead by example in modernizing our technology stack, driving excellence in software engineering practices, and mentoring the next generation of engineering talent. This role is pivotal in setting high standards and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and develop software applications and application components in an agile environment using the .NET framework and .NET Core
- Create high-quality software by conducting peer design/code reviews and developing automated test cases
- Design patterns and optimize the performance of services
- Act as a hands-on engineer, leading by example and working independently
- Build production-ready features and capabilities adhering to best engineering standards
- Share knowledge internally with peers and leaders, acting as a resource for teams and business units within areas of expertise
- Collaborate with Principal Engineers/Technical Architects to develop prototypes into production-ready features
- Leverage the latest technologies to solve complex problems facing the health care industry
- Guide and mentor junior engineers within the organization
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years focused on .NET technologies
- 6+ years of professional software development experience on the .NET platform
- 3+ years of experience in API & Integrations: Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar technologies.
- 3+ years of DevOps & CI/CD: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Artifactory, Fortify Scan, SonarQube), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
- 3+ years in Performance Optimization: Expertise in optimizing high-traffic, real-time payment processing systems for latency and throughput
- Experience in building scalable, performant and high-availability applications using ASP.NET MVC (C#), Angular and web services (API backend heavy)
- Experience designing and developing data-driven applications using RDMBS (Oracle, PL/SQL) and/or NoSQL datastores
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in banking/financial/healthcare domain
- Experience in deploying applications on public cloud infrastructure
- Solid background in designing RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and service-oriented architectures
- Flexibility to work across a variety of software-related disciplines: solution design, agile development, unit testing and refactoring
