Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the performance, security, and reliability of our database systems
• Develop and implement the strategy to optimize database performance
• Oversee the Implementation and maintenance of database security measures.
• Enforce operational discipline across teams to ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards for data protection. Achieve near 100% database uptime and availability
• Develop a vision and oversee the implementation to continuously improve operational reliability of the cloud infrastructure
• Set and achieve Availability, performance, monitoring and Infra Provisioning targets for the Platform which comprises of Cloud infrastructure and On Prem technologies
• Closely partner with Engineering and Technical Support teams to drive resolution of critical issues
• Requires excellent communication skills, clarity of thought and ability to take decisions based on available information and communicate with senior business and technology leaders.
• Manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure minimal downtime and data integrity
• Solid technical and personal mentorship

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 15+ years of overall IT experience
• Experience in financial technology domain
• Experience with high volume transaction sites
• Infrastructure Engineering experience
• Experience working with applications deployed in private or public cloud
• Experience in customer facing products
• Proficient in Terraform, JavaScript, JQuery, ReactJS, TypeScript, SCS, NodeJS, Angular JS, HTML, CSS
• Proven good oral and written communication Skills
• Proven ability to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies and leverage them to execute on the use cases given to solve business problems
• Automation expertise
• SRE principle expertise
