Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end design of complex applications, microservices, and integrations
- Serve as the go-to expert for best practices, promoting clean code, test automation, and DevOps
- Coach and mentor senior and mid-level engineers, fostering continuous learning and knowledge sharing
- Partner with Product, QA, and DevOps teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions
- Contribute to technology roadmaps, capacity planning, and long-term vision
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, particularly in AI and cloud computing, to drive best practices within the team
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design patterns, and implementation guides
- Define coding standards, conduct thorough code reviews, and drive refactoring initiatives
- Leverage Generative AI technologies to enhance software capabilities and drive innovation within the development team
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 12+ years of overall experience and 7+ years of overall software engineering experience
- Experience deploying and operating code in a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, OCI, Google Cloud)
- Experience in financial technology domain
- Experience with high volume transaction sites
- Experience working with applications deployed in private or public cloud
- Experience in customer facing products
- Solid expertise in software design principles, design patterns, and best practices, and using AI to facilitate
- Proficient in one or more modern programming languages such as C#, Golang, Node.js, Java
- Proven good oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies and leverage them to execute on the use cases given to solve business problems, having done so building and deploying a major component to production
