The Associate Business Systems Analyst (BSA) role is a mission-critical position within the Financial Clearance product suite, directly supporting a key revenue stream for the organization. The Associate Business Systems Analyst (BSA) ensures and maintains seamless, secure, and compliant connectivity between payer and provider systems—an essential capability for verifying patient eligibility, validating benefits, and facilitating timely processing. This role serves as the technical and operational bridge between internal stakeholders and external payer networks, ensuring that data flows are uninterrupted and accurate.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain payer/provider connectivity for eligibility and benefit validation workflows.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and payer technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues.
  • Monitor and analyze transaction logs and system performance to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to support enhancements to the Financial Clearance platform.
  • Ensure all processes comply with HIPAA and internal PHI handling policies.
  • Support onboarding of new payer connections and validate data integrity during implementation.
  • Document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for development teams.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare IT, revenue cycle management, or payer/provider integration
  • 3+ years of experience with EDI transactions (e.g., 270/271, 837, 835) and payer connectivity protocols
  • 3+ years of experience with PHI compliance requirements and HIPAA regulations
  • 3+ years of experience in cross-functional projects and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • 3+ years of experience with tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar ticketing and workflow systems
  • 3+ years of experience interpreting transaction logs and identifying root causes of system issues
  • Ability to work 8:30am – 5:00pm in CST or EST

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, information systems, or a related field

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $58,800 to $105,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
