This position is full time, Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00am – 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
We offer 60-90 days of paid training. The hours of the training will be aligned with your schedule. If residing within a commutable distance from Everett, WA training will be on-site otherwise conducted remotely.
If you are located within the state of Washington, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with payment processing, invoice explanation, payment due dates and billing questions
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation for all appropriate transactions
- Post insurance and self-pay payments in accordance with explanation of benefits or self-pay statements
- Investigate payment posting related errors and correct as needed in accordance with explanation of benefits or other payer related documents
- As needed, work credits created by payment posting team to ensure timely processing of payments
- Maintain payment status and billing records through corrections and adjustments
- Consistently meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standard
- Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED OR equivalent years of work experience
- Must be 18+ years of age OR older
- 1+ years working in a medical/clinical setting
- Professional working knowledge of CPT & Diagnosis Coding, Medical Terminology, and basic Anatomy
- Experience with computers and Windows based programs including MS Suite and other systems
- Ability to work fulltime, Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00am – 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with payment posting experience in healthcare
- Epic experience
- 1+ year of experience in a related environment (i.e. office, administrative, clerical, customer service, etc.) using phones and computers as the primary job tools
Telecommuting Requirements:
- Reside within the state of Washington
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 – $27.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
