Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee the technical roadmap across multiple business units to: prioritize implementations, appropriately allocate resources and ensure key capabilities are implemented in time to support business growth
- Develop and manage to IT budget for OSS and OSD
- Lead a team of 4 individuals who support multiple technical disciplines across Optum Specialty Distribution, Optum Specialty Services, Optum Frontier Therapies and Nuvaila
- Drive team development in accordance with team needs, business strategy and goals
- Develop data strategy which includes designing and implementing the technology stack that supports data importation, cleansing, extraction, and reporting
- Develop the reporting infrastructure which includes identifying key data needs across the business(es), establishing base level report requirements, identifying external data development resources, and prioritizing report development
- Lead as well as support the team in executing tasks – adding needed redundancy across the various IT disciplines
- Represent the business in defining requirements for key system implementations, prioritizing the work based on cost and tracking the success of implementations
- Ensure any ‘non-MVP’ items are appropriately documented and prioritized for future implementations as needed
- Become the SME on SAP from a business perspective to understand how the functionality can be better leveraged to increase capacity and reduce costs by removing manual work across the team
- Support internal system audits (from a business perspective) to ensure functionality and security requirements remain in place as the business continues to evolve
- Lead all RFP activity for new vendors to support additional capability needs
- Must be well-versed in various technical aspects including electronic data interchange, drug supply chain and security system requirements, master data management and systems infrastructure development and execution
- Drive artificial intelligence initiatives and develop machine learning models that enhance the automation of manual tasks and decision making

Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of management experience
- 7+ years of relevant experience in Information Technology within the areas of EDI, DSCSA and Master Data
- 7+ years of experience working with major supply chain technology platforms including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), pharmaceutical pricing software, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and Order Management Systems (OMS)
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience building data infrastructures with tools like: Databricks, Azure and Snowflake
- 5+ years of demonstrating success in people management and organizational strategy, including hiring, developing, and retaining high-performing talent; solid interpersonal skills and an ability to lead a diverse team of professionals
- Ability to be a self-starter; high degree of energy to build, motivate and influence a team cohesively
- Proven solid knowledge of and experience leading end-to-end 3PL and distribution processes, including procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, quote-to-cash and record-to-report processes
- Proven solid critical thinking skills with the ability to assess economic and environmental challenges and apply an agile mindset to identify and develop innovative solutions
- Demonstrated exceptional presentation and communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts and leading by influencing others, at all levels of the organization, including Optum Executive leadership
- Proven high level of integrity and dependability with a solid sense of urgency and results orientation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Distribution, Third Party Logistics and Supply Chain experience
- Direct SAP S4 HANA experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $132,200 to $226,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
