This person will be a dynamic and hands-on leader to join our team. This person will be tasked with developing and implementing strategies that will ensure service excellence, project success and growth, team collaboration, and overall operational health. Overseeing Managed Resource’s revenue cycle service delivery teams and responsible for the success of their client engagements.

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • KPI Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in revenue cycle key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and benchmarking tools
  • Data Analysis: Regularly analyze operational data to identify and operational issues and prioritize areas of focus
  • Insights &Trends: Identify and present to clients’ meaningful insights and trends that will help them stay on top of changes in healthcare revenue cycle
  • Innovation: Help to identify opportunities to innovate and develop new service lines to address client problems, opportunities or threats
  • Lead client presentations making clear revenue cycle programs value to senior executives within organizations
  • Talent Development: Provide guidance on attracting and developing key team members and recognizing rising talent
  • Mentoring and Support: Offer mentoring and support to leaders and staff
  • Collaborate seamlessly with other departments, both internal Optum and Client, to ensure integrated and efficient operations

  • Strategic Execution: Translate operational goals into strategies with clear objectives for the RCM Team, ensuring consistent service delivery outcomes
  • Oversee service line leaders and execute strategies that will help them to achieve service delivery goals
  • Collaboration: Partner with executive leadership, service line leaders, and support functions to ensure effective and streamlined operations
  • Provide oversight and guidance to operations teams on clients, projects, and staff resources
  • People Leadership: Exhibit solid people leadership skills, emphasizing service delivery excellence, clear communication, and team development
  • Stakeholder Interface: Interface with client revenue cycle leaders and MRI Teams to help solve client problems and achieve client’s goals
  • Strategic Guidance: Provide strategic guidance and administrative oversight. Balancing both short-term and long-term objectives
  • Performance Metrics: manage metrics and service level standards to measure and enhance service performance
  • Continuous Improvement: Enhance quality, service levels, client and employee satisfaction, and internal capabilities to deliver improvements
  • Efficiency and Cost Management: Drive efficiency in capacity planning and cost management by implementing operations-related policies and practice standards
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure RCM operations comply with regulatory and compliance regulations
  • Communication: Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication
  • Presentation Skills: Possess outstanding presentation skills

Required Qualifications:

  • 10 + years of progressive operations leadership experience, including revenue cycle leadership in a hospital or healthcare provider setting
  • Experience leading a team of 10+ employees
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle trends, including current regulatory, market, and customer trends
  • Knowledgeable in current and potential future policies, trends, and information affecting healthcare revenue cycle
  • Demonstrated expertise in California payor behaviors, reimbursement methodologies, and regulatory requirements, including a solid working knowledge of state-specific labor laws impacting revenue cycle operations and workforce management
  • Contract Management including expansion, execution and scope management within Master Service Agreements (MSAs)
  • Ability to travel to San Francisco, CA once a month

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $132,200 to $226,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
