Senior AI/ML to lead the development of an advanced research framework for testing and evaluation of emerging models. This role encompasses risk mitigation, the refinement of LLMs for BOT evaluations, implementing guardrails, and the provision of expert guidance on best practices. The engineer will ensure the robustness, accuracy, and reliability of conversational BOTs, thereby fostering innovation in next-generation AI agents. Investing in this position is essential to meet the growing demand for innovative, reliable conversational BOTs.

Join our OptumAI Team, as a Senior AI/ML Engineer, which works on solving complex data analytics and AI/ML problems, including building enterprise-wide testing and evaluation framework for Generative AI solutions. We are an innovation-driven team that leverages Machine Learning (ML) to optimize and de-risk healthcare and digital experiences. On this team, you would work with brilliant data scientists and engineers to build end-to-end solutions to meet product needs. We are also very passionate about our engineering excellence and pride ourselves of releasing solid solutions to production. We leverage state-of-the-art machine learning and strive for high-accuracy and low latency solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Apply advanced statistical, predictive modeling, and Generative AI techniques to optimize healthcare and digital experiences
  • Propose innovative ways to look at problems using data mining, statistical analysis, and machine learning
  • Seek out new data sources and verify integrity of data to fill gaps and improve models
  • Communicate findings, verbally and visually, to business partners and clients
  • Provide tracking and monitoring of model performance and recommend ongoing improvements to methods and algorithms
  • Provide guidance to junior team members
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • Master in science
  • Extensive experience in developing and deploying Generative AI models, including but not limited to text generation and conversational agents.
  • Experience with Voice Technologies: Previous work experience specifically in developing and evaluating voice bot technologies and natural language processing
  • Demonstrated expertise in working with advanced Generative AI frameworks and libraries
  • Deep understanding of ethical considerations and bias mitigation in AI model development
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and business stakeholders
