Primary Responsibility:
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks or similar big data processing platforms
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering
- 3+ years of experience in SQL, Python, PySpark, and/or Scala programming languages
- Experience in implementing data governance frameworks and security best practices
- Cloud-First Approach: Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud
- API Development: Experience in designing and developing RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
- CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools and practices
- Proficiency in Modern Programming Languages: Solid experience with languages such as Java, Angular, Javascript, React JS, Node JS
- Web Development: Solid understanding of front-end and back-end web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, and frameworks like React or Angular, Bootstrap
- Version Control: Solid understanding of version control systems, particularly Git
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms Authentication/Authorization: Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, SAML, and OpenID Connect for secure authentication and authorization
- Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data modeling
- Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g. Spark, Kafka)
- Database Management: Proficiency in working with relational and NoSQL databases like Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or CosmosDB
- Problem-Solving Skills: Proven excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
