At Optum UK, our mission is to create and use actionable insight to make the UK health and care systems work better for everyone. As a Clinical Engagement Lead in Optum Advisory Services UK, you will play an integral role within client-facing delivery programmes, facilitating insights to action and providing consulting support to health and care organisations in the UK. The role will spend much of the time with clients and their teams, sometimes onsite, to support successful delivery of the agreed outcomes, working to achieve the overall goal of driving change within systems and the populations they serve. As a Clinical Engagement Lead, you will help to craft and support programmes that include locality, place and system facilitation and leadership. As part of this, you will coach key health and care leaders, including clinicians, to use PHM to drive integrated and coordinated care.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise as part of consulting engagements, leading people during workstream sessions focused on patient pathway interventions and driving change within health and care settings
- Lead out and drive focus on ‘clinically-led’ delivery approach to our client engagements
- Strategic engagement of leaders to build understanding and programmes of work related to PHM maturity
- Interpret and analyse health and care data in a linked-data solution, developing your analysis in such a way that it tells a compelling story that enables multidisciplinary teams to improve the care for cohorts of their population
- Facilitate workshops for multidisciplinary teams to drive transformation through change management and collaboration
- Coaching of leaders, managers, clinicians to help embed PHM & VBC principles
- Evaluate the effectiveness of all workstream activities
- Measure and monitor PHM maturity growth as a result of our engagement
- Identify opportunities for, and engage to create case studies from completed works
- Clinical and programme delivery input into business development opportunities
- Actively participate in the design of wrap-around transformation programmes for wider Optum product range
- Support the growth of PHM mindset through internal coaching & educational sessions
- Influence organisational PHM & VBC thinking in relation to engagement learning
- Join our product teams to provide input on the development of new products, including new technology platforms and software to support health and care work
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) or equivalent experience
- Direct clinical experience, including nurse, allied health professional or pharmacist (with a current registration)
- Direct experience in a multidisciplinary team, including mental health practitioners, social workers, team leads or care managers, community or voluntary sector leads
- Facilitation, training or presentation experience, ideally in a clinical or health and care setting
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite of products
- Ability to travel to client sites
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in consulting
- Existing experience or desire to work with data analytics or health analytics
- Leadership coaching certification (ILM level 5 or higher)
