SCA Provider Relations Representative

Positions in this function are accountable for the full range of provider relations and service interactions within Optum Serve, including working on end-to-end provider claims / concerns, ease of use of provider portal, and support for training & development of external provider education programs. Support and nurture positive relationships between Optum Serve, providers, and program managers. Supports strategies relating to the retention of the provider network. May also be involved in identifying and remediating operational short-falls and researching and remediating claims.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (typically 8am-5pm or 7am-4pm) in time zone of residence
Location: Remote

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist in end-to-end provider claims and help enhance call quality

Assist in efforts to enhance ease of use of physician portal and future services enhancements

Contribute to design and implementation of programs that build/nurture positive relationships between the health plan, providers and practice managers

Support development and management of provider networks

Help implement training and development of external providers through education programs

Identify gaps in network composition and services to assist network contracting and development teams

Function as main point of contact for providers

Support provider retention efforts

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- 2+ years of customer service experience
- 1+ years of experience within the healthcare or insurance industry
- Intermediate level of computer literacy
- Beginner level of knowledge of healthcare terminology
- Beginner level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- Provider data loading or other healthcare database maintenance
- Proficiency with MS Access, MS Visio, and/or MS SharePoint
- Experience in continuous process, efficiency, and quality improvement
- Experience with NDB, PIMS, BH Facets. Accent DB, and/or VAS

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $23.41 to $41.83 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
