As a Capability Manager (Business Intelligence & Analytics), you will be responsible for developing innovative analytic solutions, creating actionable insights, and driving data perspectives that lead to better decisions, helping the business to achieve its objectives. This will include creating, augmenting, or modifying complex metrics to identify means of tracking data quality, completeness, and trends. The Capability Manager does not reside within the Technology area but rather sits inside the business and directly works with operational and client strategy teams, liaising with IT as needed, and being responsible for leading data project activities, assisting in the launch of new programs, conducting team meetings, establishing and maintaining timelines, and communications to all levels of stakeholders.

The Capability Manager will be responsible for building and managing a team of Business Intelligence Analysts, as the company grows.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative analytic solutions, create actionable insights, and drive better decisions and performance to help the organization achieve its objectives
  • Support operational and business analytics, process improvement data deep-dives, and the identification and execution of new opportunities to drive increases in efficiency and performance
  • Support data governance and stewardship work streams
  • Formulate hypothesis, develop queries and models to evaluate hypothesis, and formulate solutions to drive process & performance improvements
  • Develop visionary and creative analytic solutions to measure business performance; identify / quantify drivers, risks, and opportunities and define solutions to mitigate risks and leverage opportunities
  • Goal-directed, persistent, and driven to achieve positive results; positive influence on others and deals well with setbacks; identifies integration issues, removes barriers, and tracks project status in order to obtain desired results
  • Detail orientated – getting «into the trenches» to evaluate all aspects of operations; pivotal to success will be the ability to take a hands-on approach to getting the information needed and driving effective and lasting change
  • Influence senior leadership to adopt new ideas, projects and / or approaches

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in reporting and analysis, data management, and/or reconciliation, with at least 1 year in Healthcare Services and/or Pharmacy Services, working with complex data sets
  • 2+ years of experience working with Microsoft Power BI, and/or other advanced analytical tools such as Oracle Analytics Cloud, Tableau, or ThoughtSpot
  • 2+ years of experience soliciting requirements, building business intelligence solutions, quality testing and collaborating with business owners and Data Engineering teams
  • Experience developing and delivering formal presentations, including organized visuals, for stakeholders
  • Experience utilizing SQL to build queries for data analysis
  • Experience with data architecture, data privacy and associated regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years working knowledge of system development life cycle concepts and Agile methodology, including experience using Rally
  • Experience working in a client facing role
  • Experience utilizing data to intelligently inform process, operations and technology improvements

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
