The RFP Quality Assurance Writer/Editor will provide writing support and copy editing for proposal responses and proposal related documents to ensure final proposal submission complies with Community & State proposal development standards and stylistic guidelines. The Writer/Editor will work in collaboration with the Associate Director of Writing Quality to contribute to the development of formats and guidelines to ensure final product reflects organizational quality and branding.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Working with the Associate Director of Writing Quality, develop and employ quality and editing standards for the Proposal Development team
- Manage department editing tools and resources (e.g., Style Guide, Term sheet) and proofreading/editing software regularly identifying enhancement opportunities and communicating those changes to the writers to improve the value, impact and ease of adoption of resources; Style Guide is both reviewed ad hoc and annually
- Conduct a complete end to end review prior to each draft release. Consider all elements of the proposal documents, including graphics, attachments, executive summary/cover letters and any other supporting documentation
- Edit according to C&S proposal development standards, AP style, organizational quality, branding, voice, tone, flow and strategy
- Assist Associate Director, Writing Quality with the coordination of external editing vendors, mobilizing staff and creating timelines and expectations to conduct copy editing of proposal drafts
- Create Term Sheet based on current proposal requirements and any supporting documentation provided by previous submissions and current health plan leadership
- Ensure all policy preferences have been applied and updated prior to release of draft
- Assist in copyediting standardized content records for the content database, Qvidian
- Participate in ongoing continuous improvement of the Community & State proposal development process
- Participate as a proposal writer when necessary and take on response assignments
- Prioritize multiple projects and manage supplemental material required for proposals
- Assist in departmental projects as assigned
- Conduct other business development and writing quality assurance duties as assigned
Demonstrated Skills:
- Exceptional writing/editing/proofreading skills; scrupulously detail oriented and organized
- Multi-tasker; able to effectively manage multiple projects with competing timelines and changing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work in a fast-moving environment; remain flexible
- Analytical, strategic and intellectually agile
- Interest in and acceptance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a work tool

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of proposal writing or editing experience
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Advanced knowledge of Associated Press (AP) Stylebook
- Demonstrated solid project management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Health care insurance experience
- Experience with copyediting tools, such as PerfectIt
- Managed care/Medicaid experience
- MS SharePoint proficiency
- Solid interpersonal skills

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
