SQL Data Analyst – E&I Commercial Underwriting – Remote

This entry-level data analyst role supports regular reporting and helps build tools to understand business performance. You’ll work with data to create reports, find trends, and share insights that help teams make decisions.

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Help update and send out weekly and monthly reports on medical and specialty data
• Use structured data to build dashboards and tools that support business topics like Level Funded, uBundle, Surest, autorate, and ASO
• Share findings and simple recommendations with teams across the company
• Learn how to collect and organize data from different sources
• Help spot patterns, trends, and unusual results using basic analysis
• Assist in building and maintaining databases and data systems

Required Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in underwriting, actuarial pricing, healthcare analytics, or finance
• Understanding of rating logic and insurance pricing
• Understanding of ML models
• Proficiency in SQL
• Proficiency in Excel
• Proven ability to interpret and manipulate large datasets

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Python
• Familiarity with Power BI
• Familiarity with Visual Studio

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $58,800 to $105,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
