Primary Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Help define and maintain the product vision and roadmap for cost savings initiatives tied to E&I Advocacy, Clinical and Behavioral Health products, ensuring alignment with Total Cost of Care (TCOC) goals and enterprise financial targets
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders across Clinical Operations, Finance, Network Management, and Optum to identify cost-saving opportunities and translate them into actionable product features 
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze utilization trends and population health risks to uncover affordability levers. Collaborate with product and operations leads, Health Care Economics (HCE) and actuarial teams to validate savings forecasts 
  • Product Development & Value Story: Support the development of capabilities and features with focus on market pricing alignment to capability needs/market trends to improve competitive positioning and optimal product performance
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Establish savings KPIs and success metrics with product owners to prove and track ROI. Develop dashboards and client level reporting to demonstrate portfolio impact on mitigating trend
  • Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed
  • Works with less structured, more complex issues
  • Serves as a resource to others

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in product/project management
  • 3+ years of experience in managing affordability strategy/levers in a matrixed organization
  • 3+ years of experience developing, monitoring and creating improvement plans for key performance indicators
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, with emphasis in MS Excel and other data analysis/charting tools, e.g, Tableau and BI
  • Proven solid analytical skills with proficiency in interpreting financial and clinical data; ability to synthesize and translate into financial implications for product owners  
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the health care industry, specifically related to member experience
  • Comfortable performing statistical analysis and developing corresponding narrative
  • Proven success at influencing without authority
  • Proven success working in a role where ambiguous direction is provided
  • Proven solid interpersonal and business communication skills

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
