We are seeking an experienced product management leader with a strong track record and a passion for enhancing core functionalities and feature sets throughout the digital experience.

 

The Lead Digital Product Manager will be pivotal in ensuring that the key components of the Optum Flagship app are top-tier, cohesive across features, and support achieving product objectives. This position involves close collaboration with product, technology, design, and analytics teams across Optum to define strategic goals. Additionally, the role will play a major part in shaping the vision of the Flagship experience as the central connection between Optum and its users.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Guide cross-functional teams across business units to standardize foundational functionalities. This includes analytics baselining, homepage/menu/navigation discovery, guest content, personalization, and messaging. This requires being both a product feature lead and a subject matter expert in product best practices
• Monitor app performance, identify improvement opportunities, and create strategies to boost user retention
• Craft narratives that measure the success of mobile app features to highlight challenges, opportunities, and achievements recognized by the whole team
• Develop strategies, business cases, and roadmaps for the foundational aspects of the Optum Flagship app
• Keep up-to-date with trends, tools, and technologies in mobile app development
• Manage the foundational product backlog from ideation through discovery, readiness definition, and delivery

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience of Product Management experience with direct-to-consumer products
• 8+ years of experience collaborating closely with engineering and design teams
• 5+ years of experience delivering mobile applications
• 5+ years of proficiency in product management collaboration tools such as JIRA, AHA, Rally, and Figma
• 3 mobile projects showing a solid understanding of mobile UX/UI best practices and customer engagement strategies

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Extensive leadership experience in product management, strategy development, and business case writing for mobile apps
• Both strategic and tactical experience in managing, building, and delivering products and services
• Proven capability to align senior executives, business leaders, and technical leads
• Demonstrated success in delivering innovative, high-quality consumer experiences at scale
• Proven excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
• Proven ability to lead and follow, knowing when each approach is appropriate
• Proven ability to justify decisions confidently and say no when necessary

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $110,200 to $188,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
