Billing Representative

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 4:30pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. 

We offer 4 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of training will be aligned with your schedule.

                                                 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Researches, obtains and enters missing information/demographics for completion of accessions
• Obtains accurate missing information for processing of a medical claim
• Reviews and researches denied claims for potential resolution. Reports problems and errors to management in an effective and efficient manner
• Makes outbound calls to clients, carriers and/or any internal or external source as needed to resolve issues
• Answers inbound calls from clients, carriers and/or any internal or external source as needed to resolve issues. (Strong Phone Skills)
• Responds to the clients through written correspondence if unable to resolve via phone
• Handles sensitive client and patient interactions
• Meets or exceeds all production and quality goals and adhere to all policies and procedures
• Works independently and as part of a team
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• 1+ years of experience handling inbound and outbound calls with clients or patients
• 1+ years of knowledge and experience in the healthcare and insurance billing industry
• Ability in using computer and Windows PC applications, which includes strong keyboard and navigation skills and learning new computer programs
• Ability to work 08:00AM – 04:30PM EST, Monday- Friday

                                                 

Telecommuting Requirements:

• Reside within an hour from Tucker, GA, Morrisville, NC, Greensboro, NC, Tampa, FL or, Newtown Square, PA
• Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
• Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
• Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.74 – $31.63 per hour based on full-time employment.
