Responsible for managing a team of analysts implementing, supporting and optimizing applications used by the organization in an outpatient healthcare setting utilizing Epic EMR. Ensures that appropriate change management, standard operating procedures and security controls are maintained and followed. Helps with and acts as a backup for the IT Applications Director as needed.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Works with supervisors, team members, vendors, business owners and subject matter experts to ensure project scope is defined, tasks stay on track, and goals are met. Ensures project status updates are communicated to other leaders within the IT department. Proactively monitors their staff to ensure productivity
  • System Development: Provides guidance and direction on system development. Maintains application knowledge to be able to help with complex workflows and troubleshooting of systems. Work with vendors and other organizational teams in maintaining system readiness and quick error resolution. Ensure system build is correct and accurate to prevent unwanted consequences
  • Communications: Provide IT Director with accurate and timely updates on projects and systems. Ensures staff are kept updated on information relayed to the manager for distribution to their staff. Able to communicate effectively by leading meetings and providing status reports as needed
    Budget – Gathers yearly software maintenance costs and works with Director on budget creation
  • Vendor Relationships: Works to maintain positive vendor relationships and holding them accountable for deliverables. Meets regularly with vendor staff to review any system issues and come up with resolutions. Works with vendor to review new technology, workflows and optimizations
  • Staff Management: Leads and takes a proactive approach to managing staff and projects. Ensures staff are properly trained to perform their job duties. Responsible for working with team supervisors to ensure projects stay on track. Escalates issues appropriately and timely. Evaluates and determines best course of action to rectify issues. Responsible for annual appraisals, counseling, Performance Improvement Plans, and/or Corrective Action when necessary. Maintains a positive work environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field
  • 5+ years in a Team Lead/Supervisor role
  • Project management experience
  • Proven knowledge in healthcare workflows
  • Microsoft Office Tools experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in IT or related healthcare field
  • Certified in EPIC clinical modules
  • Project Management certifications
  • 5+ years of experience as an IT Applications Manager

 

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
