As a Lead Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the cloud architecture, providing leadership to the cloud engineering team, and ensuring that cloud-based infrastructure and services are scalable, secure, and cost-effective. You will play a key role in the strategic direction of the company’s cloud initiatives, leading the migration to the cloud and the optimization of cloud-based systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Cloud Architecture Design: Lead the design and implementation of cloud architectures, including the selection of appropriate cloud services, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of cloud engineers, providing guidance on best practices, troubleshooting, and technical solutions
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance
• Cloud Migration: Drive and manage the transition of existing systems and workloads to cloud-based platforms
• Security and Compliance: Implement cloud security best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and organizational policies
• Cost Optimization: Monitor cloud usage and implement cost-saving strategies while maintaining optimal performance
• Collaboration: Work closely with development, DevOps, security, and IT operations teams to integrate cloud solutions with other systems and ensure smooth deployment pipelines
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience:
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
  • 2+ years in a leadership or senior technical role
  • Extensive experience in cloud architecture, networking, security, and system design
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible

Skills & Competencies:

• Technical Skills:
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)
  • Solid knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.)
  • In-depth understanding of networking, load balancing, firewalls, and VPNs
  • Knowledge of container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes)
• Leadership:
  • Solid leadership and mentoring skills
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively
• Problem-Solving:
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Project Management:
  • Ability to lead projects and manage timelines effectively
• Communication:
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Automation: Develop and implement automation tools for provisioning, scaling, and monitoring cloud infrastructure
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Ensure that cloud-based systems are performing optimally by using monitoring tools and making necessary adjustments
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of cloud architectures, deployments, and operational procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications:
  • Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, etc.)
  • Advanced certifications in cloud technologies
• Experience with multi-cloud environments
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
