As a Sr Capability Analyst (Product Owner), you will play a vital role in defining project goals, identifying areas for process improvement, and providing innovative solutions that will impact millions of lives. In collaboration with the development team and stakeholders, you will be the voice of the business, translating complex requirements into actionable features and user stories for the Government Operations application suite. This cross-functional role involves creating and reviewing requirements, facilitating changes to the product, and working with internal and external partners to ensure alignment with business goals.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Product Owner on a Scrum Team, guiding the team towards the correct objectives
- Actively participate in project meetings, collaborating with Business Stakeholders and End Users to understand their needs
- Create features that meet the Definition of Ready (DOR), ensuring they are clearly defined, feasible, and valuable
- Write user stories in Given-When-Then (GWT) format and maintain an organized backlog
- Prioritize the Scrum Team’s backlog based on business value
- Ensure the correct implementation of user stories by clarifying uncertainties and assisting in task breakdown
- Assess the work done by the Development Team, providing feedback to ensure adherence to requirements and quality standards
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and solution design meetings
- Regularly communicate with the Scrum Team and Business Stakeholders to provide updates and ensure alignment with the product vision

Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience in Medicaid and DSNP Claims Domain (Subject Matter Expert)
- 2+ years of experience in capturing requirements or writing standard operating procedures/job aids in a healthcare claim setting
- 2+ years of experience in managing a project from ideation to post-deployment
- Intermediate experience of CSP Facets (frontend and backend)
- Beginner understanding of Agile Methodology
- Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word)
- Has previously worked or is currently working as a contractor placed at UHG or one of its subsidiaries or affiliates
Preferred Qualifications:
- Beginner level query writing skills
- Comfortable working with senior-level business stakeholders

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
