The Clinical Decision Support (CDS) Informaticist is a strategic contributor to advancing informed clinical decision-making through robust CDS solutions. Leveraging critical thinking and the principles of the 5 Rights of CDS, this role focuses on delivering the right information to the right person, in the right format, through the right channel, at the right time – ensuring clarity, relevance, and impact in every intervention. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to optimize workflows, support evidence-based practice, and improve patient outcomes.
This position is full time. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 4:30pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
We offer 2 to 4 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours during training will be 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday – Friday.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Apply advanced critical thinking to evaluate clinical requirements and workflows, guiding thoughtful integration of CDS tools aligned with the 5 Rights framework
- Partner with IT, clinical staff, and other teams to design, implement, and continuously refine CDS assets, including order sets/protocols, rules/alerts, and other CDS Interpret and analyze clinical data to generate actionable insights that support precision, safety, and efficiency in decision-making
- Facilitate collaborative design sessions and feedback loops to create interventions with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring alignment with practice standards and user experience
- Collaborate with clinical end users to analyze workflows as they relate to CDS and promote efficiency
- Synthesize data from varied data sources to support continuous monitoring of outcomes and impact of CDS tools implemented in EHR
- Navigate complexity and competing priorities with resilience and problem-solving acuity, addressing emergent needs while maintaining strategic focus on quality improvement
- Bridge the gap between clinical and technical stakeholders by translating complex data, workflows, and requirements into clear, accessible language that supports informed decision-making and collaboration
- Demonstrates consistent accountability for meeting timelines, delivering high-quality outputs, and adhering to organizational standards and expectations
- Contribute to the development and execution of a standardized clinical decision support strategy across Market Performance Partners
- Lead CDS-related projects as needed

Required Qualifications:
- Active Nursing License
- 5+ years of healthcare experience with direct clinical exposure
- CDS/Healthcare Informatics experience
- Experience with CDS development, healthcare technology and/or EHR design/build
- Understanding of clinical workflows and their integration with Health IT/CDS
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:
- Full Flu vaccination are an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate Flu booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $58,800 – $105,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
