Primary Responsibilities:
Mohs Surgery Patient Care Coordinator performs both varied clerical and clinical roles supportive of patient care functions for Mohs Surgery Department in the clinic Surgical Area. Administrative duties include scheduling cosmetic cases, scheduling office visits, verifying insurance benefits and interpreting medical plan benefits to maximize collections. Other administrative duties include secretarial support for surgeons(s). Coordinates supportive patient care functions under the supervision of a Mohs Surgeon, Registered Nurse, or Licensed Vocational Nurse, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational, and professional standards. This position requires additional duties which include administration of injectables and or other high-level skill performance. duties in the department which include demonstrating knowledge and scribing of medical terminology to assist in documentation during surgical office procedures. In addition, the technician may be asked to administer and coordinate ordering injectables, set-up/assists with procedures, sterile field, cosmetic procedures, removal of sutures, sterilize instruments, and manage pathology log to make sure all results received and given to patients and treatments done.

Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED from an accredited program
- Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or school
- BLS Certification
- 6+ years of directly related experience as a KSC Mohs Surgery Technician, Certified or Registered as a medical assistant OR 5 years of related surgical assistant experience
- Able to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population. Windows based computer skills.
- Basic Medical & Nursing terminology

Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in lieu of degree four years of progressive medical hospital or office experience in insurance, and clinical MOHS, Cosmetics and / or Plastic surgery practices
- Ambulatory Care experience, 7+ years of Mohs, Laser, Cosmetic, Outpatient procedure and / or Plastic Surgery and Cool Sculpting experience required. Years’ experience in a Mohs or Dermatology clinic or related department
- Ability to speak/understand Spanish
- Billing/claims experience
- EPIC experience
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $20.00 to $35.72 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
