As a Program Consultant in Clinical Operations, you will be at the cutting edge of values based initiatives within the space of clinical case management and utilization management serving Optum’s providers and most vulnerable members in partnership with the enterprise.
This is the place where new technologies, operational concepts, and data analysis techniques are put to the test to improve business outcomes and bring member experience to the forefront. You’ll use data & insights to make bold, business-savvy recommendations and meaningful process improvements. And you’ll do it all while telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S.
The core hours for this role are 8am – 5pm M-F Central Time Zone with ability to flex as needed.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Independently lead large, highly complex initiatives from ideation, operational readiness, implementation & post-deployment
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and leaders to ensure operational readiness and exceptional program performance
- Administer process document library, working with stakeholders to oversee revisions for content and formatting
- Develop and implement strategic business solutions through analysis of data & business processes
- Proactively drive change & efficiency by contributing innovative ideas
- Develop and document processes to ensure operational compliance with internal & external regulatory and compliance standards

Required Qualifications:
- Masters level clinician in a behavioral health field
- 5+ years of experience in a clinical behavioral role, leading large-scale, strategic projects & initiatives
- 2+ years of experience in analysis of business processes and providing improvement recommendations
- Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams)
- Access to high-speed internet from home (Broadband cable, DSL or Fiber)
- Dedicated workspace from home
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification
- Experience with reporting development and maintenance including Tableau
- Experience with Clinical Technology Applications
- Experience with Lean, Agile, Six Sigma and/or DMAIC
- Healthcare experience
- Technical background with system integrations
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Visio
- Proven exceptional written communication skills with ability to simplify complex data or concepts and convey them clearly and concisely to a wide variety of audiences

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
