Senior Financial Analyst

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you’ll collaborate with an elite team of accounting and finance professionals who impact decisions that help millions live healthier lives.

This position is full-time, Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm PST.

We offer 1-2 weeks of training. The hours of training will be 8:00am-5:00pm PST.

   

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, perform and manage the analyses of business and financial metrics as well as performance measures
• Work closely with the business to develop, recommend and establish strategies, plans and processes to improve profitability and cost efficiency
• Build financial models to evaluate new programs, service lines, and care delivery strategies 
• Opportunity to influence real cost of care decisions and not just report results. Candidate will be able to own, influence, and shape outcomes 
• High visibility role with potential for exposure to regional as well as executive leadership
• Develop and maintain financial reports to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance; and variances to plan, forecast and budget

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED
• Must be 18 years of age OR older
• 4+ years of financial and/or accounting experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products (Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint)
• Experience with Microsoft SQL
• Ability to work full-time, Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm PST

   

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or MHA, MBA, or CPA
• Experience with Hyperion Essbase, Planning and PeopleSoft Financials

   

Telecommuting Requirements:

• Reside within commutable distance to the office at 9 Technology Drive, Irvine, California.
• Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
• Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
• Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $58,800 – $105,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
