We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager to manage installation and implementation projects across the Optum product suite. This includes Radiology, Cardiology, Workflow, upgrades, migrations, and bespoke solutions tailored to the customer needs. This position is primarily focused on our government clients (VA, DoD, DLA) from initiation through completion and acceptance, including the government revenue process.

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical system implementations for government healthcare product installations from start to finish
  • Deliver technical, infrastructure, and professional services projects which could include Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) Cardiology Systems, Workflow Peer Review Systems, data migration, and other solutions as necessary
  • Scope, plan, and manage delivery to meet timelines, healthcare quality standards and budgets
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external stakeholders across the healthcare sector and other cross-functional teams
  • Create and maintain essential project documentation (scope, plans, budgets, milestones)
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, and coordinate remediation
  • Support sales and contracting with tenders and related activities

You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of enterprise imaging and delivering solutions that improve clinical care, patient outcomes, and drive clinical efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of project management experience supporting implementation of projects
  • Experience in healthcare implementation
  • Experience managing projects with healthcare technology environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and tools
  • Proven solid project leadership and stakeholder management skills, with accountability for scope, budget, and timelines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP or similar certification preferred but not mandatory if candidate has equivalent experience
  • Experience with imaging and healthcare systems (PACS, RIS, DICOM, HL7, Enterprise imaging solutions)
  • Vendor-side or healthcare consulting experience
  • Experience working with government organizations 
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheets

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
