Primary Responsibilities:
- MySQL database administration, operations, and production support., Backup and Recovery, clustering, resolving database issues, resolving MySQL installations issues, bin log
- Implement and manage MySQL replication topologies (e.g., master-slave, group replication)
- Logical approach to work and ability to prioritize the tasks
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in MySQL database administration, operations, and production support
- Experience in Monitoring, back up/ Recovery Management, DB Provisioning/de-provisioning, DB refresh/restore, HA/DRE, Patching, migration, replication and upgradation
- Experience in ticketing tools such as Service Now and support oncall duties
- Experience with other DBMS platform(SQL Server/Oracle/Postgres) will be an added advantage
- Experience in database and application performance tuning
- Good knowledge on Storage engine, troubleshooting slow running queries
- Excellent knowledge in resolving MySQL database performance tuning issues
- Understanding of Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management
- Good understanding with High Availability Concepts
- Proven ability to document solutions and train operational teams
- Proven excellent written and verbal communication
- Proven flexible, team player, get-it-done personality
- Proven ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams
- Proven ability to support Oncall, production outages and resolving performance issues and willing to learn cross DBMS technologies and Cloud
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in this area
- Experience in Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) Cloud Control, SQL Server, Postgres, DB2
