We are seeking a seasoned Senior Quality Engineering Manager with deep expertise in automation, large-scale systems, and modern quality engineering practices. This role is pivotal in driving quality strategy, building scalable test automation frameworks, and ensuring the delivery of reliable, high performing software solutions.

 

You will lead engineering teams, partner across technology functions, and advance test engineering maturity in alignment with enterprise quality standards and best practices.

 

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Quality Engineering Leadership
    • Develop, enhance, and maintain end to end test automation strategies and frameworks (Selenium, Cypress)
    • Drive high quality delivery across frontend, backend, and API layers
    • Build scalable automated test suites and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines
    • Define and evolve test standards, processes, and methodologies across teams ✔ Aligned with QE core tasks
  • Technical Ownership
    • Oversee testing for large scale, high availability distributed systems
    • Build and manage robust test data generation and mock data simulation solutions using industry-standard tools
    • Ensure performance, reliability, and resiliency through proactive defect discovery and root cause analysis
  • Collaboration & Coaching
    • Partner with product, architecture, and development teams to influence solution design and acceptance criteria
    • Mentor engineers in test design, automation techniques, and quality-first engineering practices
    • Champion continuous learning, industry best practices, and technology adoption in line with enterprise guidance
  • Operational Excellence
    • Ensure strong quality metrics, reporting, automated regression coverage, and test execution reliability
    • Drive engineering initiatives focused on improving quality velocity, reducing defects, and enhancing user experience
    • Advocate for automation-first quality culture across distributed teams

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of automation testing experience in Software Quality Engineering environments
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience testing frontend, backend, and APIs
  • 3+ years working with large scale, high availability applications, including test data creation using tools and mock data frameworks
  • 3+ years of scripting experience using JavaScript and Python
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS cloud services
  • 2+ years of experience in test data generation and mock data simulation, leveraging industry-standard tools and automation frameworks
  • Proven expertise in designing, building, and maintaining test automation frameworks using Selenium and Cypress

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the healthcare domain, with understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations
  • Familiarity with streaming technologies and modern data platforms
  • Proven exposure to AI, GenAI, LLMs  and applied quality patterns for intelligent systems

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $112,700    to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
