The purpose of this position is to aid Optum India Resiliency Leader. The position is expected to lead the development of the Business Continuity program / BC plans for Optum India while ensuring 100% compliance to the minimum standards laid by Enterprise Resiliency team. Partner with business unit stakeholders to conduct and document thorough business impact assessments (BIA), identify critical functions, processes, assess potential risks, and develop recovery strategies in partnership with business to minimize disruption and facilitate swift recovery in the event of an incident. During crisis, the position is expected to lead the situational awareness & assessments stand up meetings and related action items in partnership with the core Optum India response team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Business continuity planning
    • Lead the development and upkeep of the Business Continuity plans for Optum India including non-integrated entities while maintaining 100% compliance to the minimum standards laid by Enterprise Resiliency team. This also includes regular maintenance of Optum India – Event
    • Management playbook.
    • Partner with business unit stakeholders to conduct and document thorough business impact assessments (BIA), identify critical functions, processes, assess potential risks, and develop recovery strategies in partnership with business to minimize disruption and facilitate swift recovery in the event of an incident
    • Continuous and regular updates via Fusion to Optum India teams (IT/Ops/SS) and Enterprise resiliency team (GCM, BC planning, Enterprise Disaster Recovery teams)
  • Global Crisis Management across India sites
    • Partner with the core Optum India crisis response teams (Site Leader, Real Estate, Security, Transport, People team, Finance, Communications etc.) and provide situational assessment & awareness and lead coordinated response to crisis situations impacting Optum India people, facilities, application etc.
    • Support regular trainings related to Fusion (Enterprise Risk Management system), Alert Media, GCM etc. and ensure staff readiness in implementing the BCPs and Crisis management procedures during the crisis situations
    • Special Projects risk related as assigned
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

  • Any Graduate / Postgraduate in a relevant field of study or equivalent work experience
  • At least 2+ years experience in Business Continuity Planning and crisis management
  • Deep understanding of Fusion Framework system and AlertMedia
