The Product Marketing Specialist is someone who is clever, creative, and unconventional. In this role, you will use your creative and strategic skills to develop marketing materials aimed at driving growth for our payer and provider commercial payments business. You will work closely with our insights team to understand the buyer’s journey and decision-making process. Using market research, you will partner with our creative teams to create compelling content aimed at health care financial decision marketers. This position is an individual contributor reporting to the Associate Director of Product Marketing.  

 

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. 

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Define audiences, segments and buyer personas 
  • Collaborate with product management and sales to develop value propositions, product positioning and messaging that resonates with our target buyer personas 
  • Develop message placemats that align tailored messages with specific audience segments
  • Create marketing collateral and sales tools including brochures, sell sheets, presentations, website content and infographics
  • Create internal facing bill of materials like FAQs, battle cards, and sales playbooks
  • Guide the development of sales materials and collateral
  • Partner with the product management team on the development of product roadmaps, support product launches and go-to-market strategies
  • Guide market research, competitive analysis, and voice of the customer research
  • Understand and document our buyer’s process, including where they get information, and the who, what, when and why behind the decisions they make
  • Lead status meetings and capture and distribute meeting notes as needed
  • Lead creative brief process for marketing team, coordinating resources and managing deadlines 
  • Support ongoing and adhoc sales and marketing activities

Required Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on product marketing strategy and content creation 
  • Demonstrated ability to be highly organized and to multi-task, managing a high volume of tactics from concept to execution to optimization 
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player with solid interpersonal skills, ability to work with multiple stakeholders and build good working relationships 
  • Proven project management skills
  • Proven comfortability with ambiguity and able to shift projects and strategies to meet the changing landscape 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience writing content such as white papers, articles, blogs and social media content
  • Experience designing PowerPoint presentations
  • Experience marketing to provider and health plan/insurance organizations 
  • Experience supporting sophisticated sales organizations and fast-paced technology marketing teams

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
