A Senior Technical Product Manager is responsible for overseeing the development and management of technical products within OptumHealth and Financial Technology Division of Optum. The role will play a critical role in aligning the product vision with the overall business strategy. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive product vision and strategy roadmap
  • Engage appropriate enterprise-wide stakeholders to enable awareness and alignment
  • Support management of the full product lifecycle with a technical focus, including the strategy, design, development, management and end-of-life of new, existing or acquired products
  • Leverages market insights and emerging technology developments and trends to understand market/customer needs, as well as identify new opportunities or make adjustments to current product offerings
  • Balances deep subject matter expertise with knowledge of business use cases and solid technical aptitude
  • Supports for delivering product performance in alignment with expectations, and updates changes to a product portfolio to improve competitive position and produce optimal product performance to meet customer and market needs
  • Cross-functional stakeholder management, to include (but not limited to) design, engineering, scrum teams, business leaders, etc., functioning as technical expert with a fluency in development concepts and modern development practices
  • Serve as the product champion and apply deep expertise to credibly represent, manage and engage with business(es)
  • Works with a team of technical product managers, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day activities. Mentor and develop junior product managers, fostering a culture of growth and learning within the team 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure successful product development and launch 
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that features are delivered on time and within budget 
  • Define and track key product metrics to measure success and make data-driven decisions 
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and evaluate their potential impact on the product 
  • Build and maintain solid relationships with customers and key stakeholders, gathering feedback and incorporating it into the product roadmap 
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualification:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
