Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Work as part if a distributed, international team to advance the technical goals of the Enterprise Information Security, Data Warehousing team
  • Capture requirements, design, test and build code to enable data pipelines in support of Enterprise Information Security Data Warehousing. Solid proficiency in SQL, Python, SPARK, working with Snowflake and Airflow
  • Deliver performant and quality code and data product solutions on time
  • Assist with implementation and coaching of others around coding, testing, CICD and Data Ops competencies
  • Demonstrated understanding of Data Product Governance, standards and guidelines
  • Champion and advance new technologies and techniques in the data engineering space

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience working with data products, pipelines and conducting analysis and around Data Warehouse tables and structures
  • 5+ years of hands-on coding in at least three of the following: Python, Unix Shell, Spark, Pyspark, Scala, SQL, Oozie scripting, Java, Kotlin, Gradle
  • Hands-on experience working with complex and large datasets, preferably in a cloud solution (Snowflake) with cloud backend (Azure)
  • Hands-on experience conducting Data Ops activities, Dashboarding of operational health monitoring
  • Solid skills with SQL and have experience with data profiling and high level functional data modeling
  • Proven ability to work through ambiguous requirements to deliver robust data solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven solid communications skills, both written and verbal and proven track record of collaboration directly with clients and consumers of data products

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
