Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate Scrum teams on right development and delivery practices, guide the transition to Agile principles
- Plan and facilitate all aspects of Program Increment planning on a monthly basis
- Facilitate the Scrum of Scrum meetings, and act as facilitator across all interlocked Scrum teams at the Program level
- Serve as an expert on Agile software principles to other team members
- Engage directly with stakeholders to define mission value and prioritize work
- Deploy key metrics to enable continuous improvement
- Support scrum ceremonies for the team where needed (Planning, Retrospective, Grooming & Review/Demo)
- Facilitate impediment resolution in a timely, cost effective manner. Act as a conduit to other teams and lines of business stakeholders
- Track and produce key metrics across the entire project
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
- 12+ years of experience in IT. 5+ years of experience leading Agile teams as Scrum Master or Tech project manager
- Exposure to the following technologies as Scrum master, product owner or RTE:
- Java/J2EE
- Web Services, Web APIs, and microservices
- SQL and NoSQL based solutions
- Cloud deployments, containers, and continuous integration
- SOAP and RESTful services
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proven practical problem solving and strategic thinking skills, critical thinker, and self-starter
- Proven superior communications skills with all levels of employees and both internal and external stakeholders
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining view on the strategic direction and being as detailed as needed
