OptumRx is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst II to join our Optum Infusion Pharmacy Finance team to support the financial reporting and analysis of our pharmacy volumes. This high visibility role will report directly to the Director of Finance and be an integral part in supporting pharmacy leadership to drive financial performance and growth.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Develop, maintain and analyze monthly financial reports to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to forecast, budget, and prior year
• Identify key performance indicators to better predict, manage, and influence volume growth
• Partner with Operations and Sales leadership to develop, recommend and establish strategies, plans, and processes to improve volume growth
• Automate and produce concise, well-formatted reports that communicate a clear, compelling message for business leaders
• Present monthly results and forecasted volume strategies to Optum Infusion leadership team
• Explore industry, macro, and competitive insights to influence long-term volume strategy
• Partner with the Pharmacy Finance team to analyze and forecast pharmacy and market volume trends

Required Qualifications: 

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of financial and/or accounting experience 
• Proven experience driving business performance in a high growth environment
• Experience working in a matrix environment, building relationships, and partnering with business leaders
• Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Work experience anticipating accounting, financial reporting, forecasting and operational issues, assessing their implications and developing and implementing an appropriate action plan

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience with Hyperion Essbase and PeopleSoft
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling (creating graphs, pivot tables, VLOOKUP and charts)

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
