Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform assigned work in a self-directed manner
- Prepare and analyze cash/bank account reconciliations and clear billing
- Identify, Report and investigate the incorrect cash applied on a monthly basis
- Prepare and analyze cash/bank transactions and investigate unapplied items
- Good understanding of general accounting concepts
- Generate, reconcile and analyze monthly closing reports
- Prepare and analyze general ledger account reconciliations, including intercompany accounts
- Prepare and analyze sub-ledger vs main GL ledger reconciliation and investigate open items etc.
- Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis
- Resolve un-reconciling items in a timely manner and report out
- Identify and properly escalate unusual transactions
- Complete special projects as assigned by supervisor
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
- 4+ years of professional cash account reconciliations and general accounting experience in BPO or Shared Services
- Hands-on experience performing cash reconciliations
- Transition experience
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
- Demonstrated ability to connect with SME onsite and do remote knowledge transfer
- Proven good communication skills
- Proven good understanding of cash applications and reconciliation process
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PeopleSoft General Ledger or Essbase or similar general ledger or reporting tools
- Experience with Blackline
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Access
