Optum Advisory Services is seeking a service-oriented, Advisory Services, Consultant to provide implementation and operational support in the area of healthcare provider analytics solution delivery. The Consultant will be responsible for supporting end-to-end delivery of analytics solutions within the value based payment portfolio.  Key activities include quality assurance and analysis, in support of service delivery of value based payment solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support analytics service delivery within the Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial domains by providing quality assurance review based on data analysis and trending for a specified group of products/solution offerings  
  • Design and develop strategic solutions to validate the quality of all deliverables which include large datastores and complex analytic reports
  • Contribute to the development of Test Plans and Test Scripts for new product releases 
  • Perform test execution as required by isolating, and reporting defects as well as supporting verification of defect fixes.
  • Support initiatives to improve implement operating efficiencies/effectiveness in expanded services and deliverables

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with SQL / Database concepts
  • 3+ years of experience with healthcare claims data, provider operational data
  • 3+ years of experience with Medicaid and/or Medicare Programs 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the healthcare ecosystem – with the ability understand how payers and providers interact, and how value based programs enable improved quality of care  
  • Experience with Agile methodology and concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to work within healthcare analytics subject matter experts as well as technical developers to elaborate on requirements and quality issues as needed

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
